Hilton Hotel - Buffalo Thunder Resort - WOW

A Repository of Beautiful Native Art

When you arrive at the Hilton Hotel - Buffalo Thunder Resort - just 15 minutes north of Santa Fe - you are greeted by an imposing and quite magnificent bronze sculpture - Buffalo Dancer II - created by Native American artist and former Pojoaque Pueblo Governor GEORGE RIVERA.

And, if you could  travel  to the Smithsonian's NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN in Washington D.C., you'd see Buffalo Dancer gracing the National Mall just in front of the Museum entrance - the first sculpture to represent American Indians to do so, and now part of the Museum's permanent collection.

But that's just the beginning of the Hotel's vast collection of 400, one-of-a-kind artworks by every Native American Tribe in New Mexico.

I was invited to a cocktail party to experience the hotel and  new Chef de Cuisine, Edgar Morales, who presented signature 'tastes' from the new menu at the hotel's Red Sage New American Grill. The tastes were amazing.
