YES, you've heard me say it - SANTA FE IS A CANDY BOX OF DELIGHTS...
So, here is the delight I discovered this week...

Photos of this charming circa 1936 boutique hotel popped up on INSTAGRAM and I immediately dashed over to take a look. It was love at first sight. Ensconced along the original Route 66, this unique, five-acre property features 86 rooms, each meticulously restored and decorated in Southwestern style with original artwork and modern amenities. No two rooms are alike - each offering a crisp, colorful, classic New Mexico experience.
Jay Carrol, the creative director behind the fab vibe of the El REY renovation - along with his talented wife Alison - took me on a tour of the property, including a few of the inviting guest rooms and the new, equally-inviting - EL REINA BAR.
Note the detailing on each doorway...

A new addition to the El Rey is their tequila and mezcal bar. It's very cool and intimate - just 25 seats indoors... and a tiny patio. The adobe walls are white and the furnishing and art contemporary.

SPANISH MARKET was this weekend and I am always amazed at the talented artists that showcase their contemporary and traditional work. But of course, people caught my eye and I captured a few fun shots...
