PORTRAITS OF INDIAN MARKET WEEK

What can I say...each year Indian Market week in Santa Fe gets more vibrant. Every minute there is something exciting happening - Native cinema, dancing, concerts, Native Haute Couture fashion show, and, of course the art. More than 1,000 Native artists showcase their artistry, and it is a formidable task to take
in all the talent and rich heritage of this annual Santa Fe event.

I try to capture the spirit of Indian Market with my camera...here goes...

LYN A. FOX GALLERY

Many galleries had special showings of Native American art during Indian Market week. I stopped by Lyn A. Fox Gallery on Canyon Road to see the miniature show of
preeminent potter Nancy Youngblood. What a treat to see her diminutive pots and browse the displays of other fine pueblo pottery.

CHAR AT THE WHITE STUDIO is a must-go-to clothing boutique if you're visiting Santa Fe, especially if you want one of Char's signature white, very-Santa Fe shirts that are custom made in Bali. I stopped by during Indian Market week and took a few photos...

Char's classic leather designs...

The studio is gorgeous..
