I am putting this absolutely-elegant fundraising event on my calendar EVERY YEAR from this point forward. EVERYTHING OLD MEXICO IS NEW MEXICO AGAIN - is this years theme, and twenty Santa Fe Designers have spent weeks transforming the interior of a magnificent, historic east side home into a wonderland of color, texture and panache. The lavish home was part of the estate of the famous White Sisters in the 1920's and 1930's, daughters of a wealthy New York newspaperman. The neighborhood was the heart of the Santa Fe Artists' and Writers' Colony during the first half of the last century. Former residents of the estate include: renowned artist Raymond Jonson, German woodcut artist, Gustave Baumann and poet Witter Bynner.

But before you do, you're greeted by exquisite performance artists with alluring
Day of the Dead painted faces...
Then the interior magic...
The Gala was in full swing when I arrived, so I took photo snippets of the interiors of the rooms, shooting around the guests who were mingling and having a wonderful time...
Wonderful art peppered the walls...
Lush pillows everywhere. If you stacked them, I think they'd reach the moon...
Wonderful decorative wall treatments...
Romantic lighting...
And Flowers everywhere...
A charming artist studio, replete with all the creative trappings, was a delightful surprise.
There was music...
A bevy of delightful people...
