BITES - CAPTURING MY FAVORITE MEALS

All of my friends know that if I join them for a breakfast, lunch or dinner out, that before they can take that first bite of what they've ordered, my camera is at the ready to capture the visual deliciousness of the moment. They are very, very tolerant!

HERE GOES...

I had recently been to Knoxville, Tennessee where I indulged in biscuits & gravy, grits and fried green tomatoes and banana pudding, so it was with delicious anticipation that I perused the Southern/New Mexico fusion menu at this much-lauded restaurant in Madrid (Mad'-rid), New Mexico. How could I resist - Fried Green Tomatoes napped with a beautiful house-made Lavender Bechamel Sauce. And, I never expected said tomatoes to be so artfully plated. They were amazing.

My friend had tender pulled pork  nestled between oh-so-flaky  sliced biscuits with a tangy BBQ sauce and splendid fruit salad. And so much more on the inviting menu. This gem is a must visit if you're up for a 20-minute drive from Santa Fe an a walk-about in this funky-wonderful former mining town turned artist colony.

Charming and delicious. A beautiful, diminutive dining room is the perfect spot to indulge a lunch or afternoon craving. The pastries are beyond wonderful and you can find options such as dairy, refined sugar,  gluten , grain , egg FREE and vegan.  But, let me assure you if you're a sugarholic like me, these delectable bites are memorable.

You can find several options to suit any sort of food preference- dairy free, refined sugar free, gluten free, grain free, egg free, vegan,
 unicorn free.

Flowers and a radiant smile greeted us as we stepped into this iconic Santa Fe eatery for Sunday Brunch.

I love the  crayons on each table and the paper table cloth waiting for doodles...

A lovely tuna amuse-bouche to begin...

And the Luscious Mascarpone Stuffed House made Brioche French Toast was a must...with real Vermont Maple Syrup.  Next time - Lobster Mac & Cheese!

It's called a 'Dirty BLT' and it's a pip. Layered with the usual,
but with a twist - garlic aoli and sourdough bread.

Crispy Pork Belly "Mac'n Cheese" - this was simply mouth watering. I was humming, which I tend to do when I'm eating something
 SO good...

Red Chile Braised Short  Rib Egg Rolls - simply WOW!
