TODD AND ANNE WINKLER 

Todd grew up in California and Anne in South Boston, but both wended their way to Taos in the 90's where they met and discovered a shared passion for design and furniture. They combined their considerable talents, moved to Santa Fe and are now designing, building  and hand painting amazing custom furniture that echoes designs from the past - rustic Adirondack, tramp art, early California and  New Mexico-style. 

"I feel that I'm leaving my mark; a sense of legacy," confides Todd, who has made hundreds of one-of-a-kind furniture pieces over the years and still feels enormous satisfaction and gratitude when each is completed.

Their lovely home reflects their combined talent and aesthetic. It was a visual treat to go on a bit of a tour - and amazing to know that this talented duo

designed/created almost all the furnishings and decorative touches.

                                       

Their collaboration begins with the initial design and intricate drawings that Anne produces for each piece of custom furniture. She scours Todd's portfolio of designs and combines them to meet the client's needs. "I'm always inspired; always designing," says Anne, who likes to push the designs to help to create something fresh and new. She then combines the skillfully-rendered sketches with the latest Photoshop technology to present to the client for custom orders.The portfolio of WESTWINK designs continues to grow with each one-of-a-kind pieceTodd creates.

Then the design becomes a reality  in Todd's studio/workshop - a separate building across the courtyard from their house. Just finished and in-progress pieces fill the sunny space.

Anne just completed a recent project - hand painting 70  beds and handsome blanket chests with one-of-a-kind Spanish Colonial motifs for the La Fonda hotel's recent renovation.
