Chasing & Shopping...

There's so much to see and do in Santa Fe including shopping.  Here are a few Chasing Favorites - that caught my eye and lens...

 TODOS SANTOS
The heady perfume of chocolate fills the air and the mad/wonderful/playful displays tell you immediately that you have found a Santa Fe gem.

CHAR is a legendary Santa Fe designer. For years she held sway over her beautiful downtown shop where you could find her signature leather clothing and very Santa Fe peasant blouses.  Now, here lace fashions are taking center stage. And just to name drop, her client list boasts the likes of Waylon Jennings, Goldie Hawn, Barbara Streisand and Cher.

CICADA, a very chic boutique along Galisteo Street, showcases unique European and American designers. Owner  Irina Ross opened this trendy shop two-years ago and makes frequent buying trips to Europe to discover, as she puts it - "under the radar talent".

HOUSE OF ANCESTORS is a wonderful antiques and interiors shop  showcasing authentic Early American, Southwest and Central American finds.

TECA TU, tucked into Sanbusco Mall, is the kind of place you can wander in alone, or come with your four-footed friend, either way you're sure to find something smashing for your pet to wear, play with, eat, or otherwise amuse themselves or you!

When you step inside Barbara Nass' new shop - THE SPICE LADY - your enveloped in the perfume of every imaginable spice - sending your senses soaring.

When I met Santa Fe Fiber Artist Kathryn Roth she was wearing one of her amazing felted-wool and chiffon creations and I knew that I had to see her entire collection and to photograph it.

CUFF LOVE.

I've been Chasing Santa Fe for two years now and still delight in discovering more. I have published 227 posts that have gotten 121,331 hits. WOW! Even I'm  impressed. So in case you've missed a few, I'm going to publish a sampler of my favorite posts each month. Here goes...

The El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa in Taos is just drop dead gorgeous. Every ceiling sprouts a beautiful chandelier. Every wall is punctuated with art. Doors are deeply carved; windows draped in lovely textiles. And that's just the public spaces. I stopped in for lunch, but of course, out came the camera and lunch was delayed  while I captured a bit of opulence in Taos.

Everything at CASA NOVA at the Railyard is a feast for the senses, hand-picked by owner Natalie Fitz-Gerald who has perfect pitch when it comes to aesthetics.

She finds unique elements from nature and diverse cultures and
re-invents them into cuffs, necklaces and earrings.
