I love stepping into this wonderful gallery. The ancient floors creak with every step; the walls look like freshly-brewed cafe au lait; and the art seems happy to have found the perfect roost. Clearly gallery owner Selby Fleetwood knows what she's about.

"People love being here," says Selby, who admits to having a good eye and an intuitive sense when it comes to choosing her artists and their work. "It's very organic. I find what appeals to me and everything just seems to resonate."
According to Selby, the lovely building that houses the gallery was built in the 1760's and was a private residence for many years. Someone along the way painstakingly faux finished doors and woodwork throughout the gallery.
And, there's a lush garden out back - thanks to Joy & Bernie Busch - filled with wonderful sculpture, flowers and a diminutive "arboretum" of trees - apricot, Russian olive and crab apple.
A perfect spot to sit and ponder an art-filled day in Santa Fe.
