GIVE AWAY - CHASING SANTA FE 2011 CALENDAR

I've created a 2011 calendar with twelve of my favorite Chasing Santa Fe photographs. Each month is printed on a separate 8.5 & 11-inch sheet of cardstock in color. They are perfect to frame or perch on your fridge with a great magnet. I'll be giving away 5 CHASING SANTA FE CALENDARS. All you have to do is LEAVE A COMMENT about Christmas in Santa Fe and I'll have a drawing on Christmas Day.  Please include an e-mail address so I can notify the winners and send off the calendar.

Here's a sneak peak...

Good luck!

SCHOLA CANTORUM OF SANTA FE - ANCIENT MUSIC

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to attend a concert by the Schola Cantorum of Santa Fe - a singing ensemble that performed in the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe  on Sunday evening. They sang sacred and ancient Christmas music of the Renaissance and haunting Gregorian chants.

The ten, talented members of this charming group share the historic music of the Roman Catholic Church through its concerts and outreach programs. Each of their songs had a "story" so you learned a bit about the composer or the lyrics or the historic context of the time.

And their voices filled the church - a perfect stage for their
beautiful and ancient sounds.

TAKE A PEAK - "THROUGH THE WINDOW" - EVOKE CONTEMPORARY

Santa Fe is a wonderland at night. And, even after all the shops and galleries are closed, you can still go window shopping and enjoy the sights. Here's a preview of the "Through the Window" photographs I'm working on...

THE OCEAN OF SKY

When I moved to Santa Fe from Seattle someone asked me if I'd miss the ocean. I thought a moment and then looked up. The sky will be my ocean, I said. And here is what the sky/ocean looked like just a few minutes ago.
